We have been using EWS status-bubbles on Bugzilla for a long-time and it has very useful features. GitHub native checks doesn't have similar functionality. We should develop something similar for GitHub which allows to easily see all the EWS results on the PR (along-with information about pending builds). One way to do that it through comments on PR which will emulate the status-bubble and keep updating.

I would also like to be able to see old EWS results for a closed PR, just like we can today in Bugzilla. For example, this pull request had complete test results at the time it was approved and merged, but now does not display them: https://github.com/WebKit/WebKit/pull/701
